YETI – Youth Education Through Illustration


YETI will take place between 23rd and 26th September 2021 (Thursday to Sunday).

You are welcome to arrive on September the 22nd afternoon so that you can settle your tent and wake up with us on Thursday morning! Also you are welcome to stay until Monday, the 27th, and join us at the final exhibition opening – a pick-up to go and come back from the venue will be provided.

Participation fee:

Yeti 4 days: 120€

4 days of total access to the conferences, workshops and talks + 5 days camping + pickups from and to the local bus station (Albergaria-a-Velha) + participation in the final exhibition + participation certificate.
*early bird – 50% until 1st September;
** 2nd early bird – 30% until 15th September.

Food Pack: 60€

4 days food pack including breakfast, lunch and dinner
At the venue will also be possible to buy single light meals (like sandwiches, soup, etc). Meals will be vegetarian. It is forbidden to cook/make fire at the camping area.

Frequently asked questions

Get to Branca (Albergaria-a-Velha) through IC2/N1, following Oporto direction; already in Branca, facing north, turn right to “Barroca”; at the top of the road turn right: Quinta das Relvas’ gate is the first on your left!

Take a “Rede Expresso” bus to Albergaria-a-Velha: pick ups’ schedule will be arranged!

Take a train till Estarreja and from there take a taxi or uber to Quinta!

Tent; towel; sleeping bag; personal hygiene bio-degradable items (if possible); mosquito replent.

You don’t have a tent or you are not comfortable on camping? Try out our shared glamping: up to 4 people on a glamping tent with bed, clean sheets and electricity! To do it just select that option on your participation form.

If you buy our food pack we will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for you! Our food is vegetarian but very good!

On the other hand, we will have a snack-bar/meals service at YETI’s venue where you can buy some light snacks, sandwiches and soup and a supermarket, bakeries and restaurants are just 10 minutes walking from the farm.

You can take your own materials with you and mandatory personal things needed for the workshops will be requested closer to the festival. The basic items needed for the workshops will be provided.

Final Exhibition

There will be a final exhibition reuniting all the work produced at the event and will take place on the 27th September (Monday) – you’re welcome to camp at Quinta till Monday and join us at the exhibition openning, on Monday afternoon!

Final Documentary

After YETI takes place we will make a short video focused on the works presented and results achieved. This video will be shared on our social media and our partners’ (town council, universities etc) and the lecturers will also be able to use it to promote their work in particular.
